Here is my recap and analysis of Week 13’s games
Texans defeat Patriots 28-22. Big win for the Texans, they played very well, Watson was sharp and threw for 3 TD’s and their defense did a good job getting pressure on Brady and slowing the Pats down for most of the game. The Texans have a solid all around team and will win the AFC South IMO and if their defense plays well they can compete in the playoffs IMO. The Pats didn’t look good at all, and they have definite reasons to be concerned as their offense hasn’t been impressive for most of this season, but I think the Pats can make adjustments and fix some of their problems and they will be a contender in the playoffs once again IMO.
Chiefs defeat Raiders 40-9. Chiefs with a dominant win and their defense was outstanding in this game, completely shutting down the Raiders, the Chiefs need their defense to play more like they did today going forward, if they do the Chiefs will be hard to beat as their offense is very talented and explosive. The Raiders have now gotten drilled in back to back weeks, they are not going to make the playoffs this year IMO, they still have a lot of improvements to make on both sides of the ball but they’ve played better than expected this season and I’m impressed that they are still in the playoff race at this point.
Ravens defeat 49ers 20-17. Outstanding game between 2 very good teams, Ravens get the win after a very nice game winning drive, Jackson wasn’t quite as explosive as he had been in past games but he made some big plays and led the Ravens to a win. The Ravens are probably the best all around team in the AFC even though I do question if they can get to the Super Bowl with the passing attack they have now, but they are definitely contenders, and the Niners are one of the NFL’s top teams as well, they just didn’t make quite enough stops to get the victory today.
Steelers defeat Browns 20-13. Steelers get the win behind a strong defensive performance once again, and I think Hodges is a better QB than Rudolph, the Steelers are right in the playoff race and I think they have a pretty good shot at the playoffs given their strong defense. The Browns have had a disappointing season and they are basically out of the playoff race, they didn’t live up to expectations and I’m not sure Kitchens is the right coach for them but they are not a bad team and do have talent.
Titans defeat Colts 31-17. Titans with a big road win against their division rival, they’ve played much better since putting in Tannehill and benching Mariota, they have a decent team all around and are playing well right now, they have a shot at the playoffs. The Colts playoff chances don’t look good at all, they had several key players hurt today and that affected the game, they are a decent team but they are going to have to decide about the QB position going forward because I don’t think Brissett is the franchise QB.
Dolphins defeat Eagles 37-31. Dolphins get the win behind an explosive offensive performance, this is a bad loss for the Eagles losing to the lousy, rebuilding Dolphins, the Eagles secondary is just awful and it cost them today as Fitzpatrick threw for 365, don’t think the Eagles will get to the playoffs because of their secondary, this was a really bad loss for them and a huge blow to their playoff chances.
Rams defeat Cardinals 34-7. Rams rebound from their bad MNF loss with their best performance of the season, Goff threw for over 400, and they dominated the Cardinals, they have a good team and are still in the NFC playoff race, but it’s an uphill battle for them to get to the playoffs. Cardinals are in rebuilding mode, not much to say about them.
Packers defeat Giants 31-13. Packers with a solid win, Rodgers with a good game and the Packers remain a strong team. The Giants are rebuilding and I have major doubts about Jones at QB, I did when they drafted him and I still do, he’s a turnover machine, and I also wonder how much longer Shurmur will be their coach as he has a very poor record.
Buccaneers defeat Jaguars 28-11. Pretty much a meaningless game, Bucs got the win as they had the more potent offense, the Jags finally went to Minshew after Foles did nothing and I think Minshew should remain the QB for the rest of the season, they need to get him experience to see if he can be their franchise QB.
Redskins defeat Panthers 29-21. Big upset here as the Redskins win their second game in a row, the Panthers have thrown in the towel and aren’t even trying anymore IMO, very disappointing for them, they need a new franchise QB IMO, it will be very interesting to see what they do in the offseason.
Broncos defeat Chargers 23-20. Broncos get the win in Lock’s first start, it will be interesting to see if he plays well enough to be their QB of the future, the Broncos need more talent all around before they can be competitive again. The Chargers have been extremely disappointing and I think Rivers is nearing the end with them.
Bengals defeat Jets 22-6. Bengals get their first win of the season, while the Jets lay an egg after their win against the Raiders, both teams are rebuilding and this was a meaningless game.
Any thoughts?

An awesome long TD pass and that slick trick play that Watson took it in. Did Tom Crybaby do any of that? Can he? Get outta here! Go and sit down and cry Tommy boy and ask for your bwankee, your mommy and then go nap nap time.

The NFC East is so bad that the Washington Redskins can still theoretically make the playoffs with a 7-9 record if the Cows and Iggles lose out the season! The Saints are the first team this season to lock up a playoff spot by winning the South. The AFC race is more open with a couple of teams that can get in at the last moment but the NFC and AFC are looking more and more each day like it's already locked up. Vikings sitting in the #6 seed with a 8-3 record and the Rams are sitting just on the other side of the door at 7-5. It's going to be tough for the rest of the NFC hopefuls if they are trying to get into the playoffs when everybody currently in there has a minimum of a 2 game lead on them.
There is a smattering of AFC teams who are still hopeful but at this point they look like they are just waiting for someone to pull the plug on their chances.

The Eagles and Cowboys can’t both lose out as they play each other the second to last game of the season. I’m guessing the Skins would have to win out, the Cowboys lose out, and the Eagles beat the Cowboys and lose every other game. This is not only possible but wouldn’t surprise me if it happened.

2019 Patriots have already peaked. I think they'll win their divisional round game at Gillette, but then it's a wrap.
Brady wasn't fully out of sorts, he simply hasn't anyone to get the ball to. They'll hope for wintery weather in January.

Missed the entire weekend except for a few minutes on my phone app.
How much did it look like having half the Pats sick and taking separate planes affected them? Had been considering switching my pick to Hou.

How much did it look like having half the Pats sick and taking separate planes affected them? Had been considering switching my pick to Hou. Honestly, me too. A large chunk of their team was hit by the bug. I was thinking about changing my pick and also switching to my backup DEF in fantasy (Indy). Sure enough, both would have been the right calls. Should've been bolder.
