Disney is still responsible.
She is doing what they want her to do.
If this was not the case then why did they have the white male character in Pirates of the Caribbean 4 tied to a mast then make a mistake that leads to the mermaids being captured and end up being mortally wounded and dragged into the ocean?
Disney management is big on failure messages.

If I had to take a guess......If "THE RISE OF SKYWALKER" turns out to be a Disappointment then Kathleen Kennedy will still not be fired.
Instead, I think that they will just decide not to renew her contract when it expires in 2021.
If that does indeed happen (or if Kennedy does get fired if "THE RISE OF SKYWALKER" is a Disappointment) then I actually think that Control of "STAR WARS" should then be given to Jon Favreau.
