Worst season of the series so far. Why is that every FX series always shows decline after the 2nd-3rd seasons?

i honestly found it a bit underwhelming. Me too. Still a lot better than most other shows, It kept me interested enough to stick with it,but I don't think it was as compelling as the first two seasons. I thought Ewan McGregor was more interesting as Ray,rather than Emmit. The only characters who kept it from sinking into total mediocrity were Nikki & of course VM Varga. The Russian guy & the dancing Asian were pointless,& Gloria wasn't as strong a character as a Molly Solverson.

I feel like it lacked any real emotional weight, Nikki and Emmitts conclusions were shocking but felt sort of very expected, and i assumed Varga escaped, but my friends think perhaps he went down actually.

The series is currently on an extended hiatus, as Hawley is busy with other projects and a lack of creative ideas for a fourth season. Hawley stated in June 2017, "I always agreed with FX that the only reason to do another Fargo is if the creative is there" and in regards to a timeline for a fourth season, "We're looking at three years from now".
I guess that makes sense. And good for him

i honestly found it a bit underwhelming. I liked it, but it wasn't as good as the past two seasons. I'd put it at the weakest of the three. The writers seemed to run out of steam not knowing what to do by the end. Killing everyone off seemed a bit odd to me and a bit pointless in some cases and I'm not sure why Varga got to live only to, apparently, be imprisoned.

I liked it as well, in no way would i say it was shit, but it just lacked a certain punch.
