I like how Jonesy just lured Harry Dean Stanton to his death and watched it all happen like it was no bug deal. I am 100% convinced that cat made some sort of deal with the xenomorph to lure the crew to their deaths (like you mentioned with Stanton's character and later with Ripley during the final countdown sequence). Even in Aliens when Ridley says to the cat he is NOT going with her back to LV 426, look at the angry face on the cat.

There has already been a short story based on Jones’ perspective of what went on so what’s holding things up? Now Disney have the franchise they should just combine it with That Darned Cat and watch the money pour in.
