Western: Sabata Cop: Dirty Harry Comedy: Romance: Un Coeur en Hiver Gangster: Sexy Beast SuperHero: Batman Returns Biopic: Sid & Nancy Sword & Sorcery: Animation: My Neighbor Totoro Shark ( apart from Jaws ): L'Ultimo Squalo Horror: The Dead Zone Sci-Fi: The Hidden Musical: All That Jazz Occult: War: Star Wars O T H E R: The Thin Blue Line Yes, Dirty Harry to me is still the best and most original cop flick that was groundbreaking, from a watershed era in cinema.
I never really considered The Dead Zone - 83' as horror, while it does have some minor horror elements about it. I see it more as a psychological\supernatural thriller. I find on its own merit, that it is an interesting watch and Walken and Sheen are very good, but compared to the King's novel—which in hindsight, I feel is one of his best written ones that I have read of his—it is under-developed and even anemic. Potential wasted! I prefer to watch Firestarter - 84', which is at least faithful to King's story.
