I'm half way through making a new bird table for my front garden.
I could have bought one, but it's nice to make stuff instead 🐓🐔🐤🐦🐧🦃🦅🦆🦉

I'm half way through making a new bird table for my front garden. I could have bought one, but it's nice to make stuff instead 🐓🐔🐤🐦🐧🦃🦅🦆🦉 Did you use wicker/wood? Gonna paint it? If so - what color? And what type of birds do you attract out there? I used primarily 12mm ply that I ponced off some council workers when they were refitting a kitchen nearby. I won't paint it, but will use a water based non-toxic wildlife friendly wood preservative (think the bird charity people recommend one called Protek). Birds that regularly visit my garden for food... Goldfinches. Blue tits. Great tits. Blackbirds. Robins. Pigeons. Thrushes. Pied wagtails. Sparrows. Occassional other visitors. But the above are the daily regulars. |
