Looks to have a really good cast and a really good look. Scott Cooper is a sort of prestigious mainstream director and they were able to slap Guillermo Del Toro's name on it. Good pedigree all around.
I hope it's good, but it kinda looks silly.

Watched this one this morning... it's ok. Not terrible, but nothing special.

One of the worst horror movies I’ve seen yet.

It's decent. Pretty slow but the characters were good and I love the monster design in it.

It's decent. Pretty slow but the characters were good and I love the monster design in it. The design was good, and I like Keri Russell, but the script was lacking and the horror setpieces were pretty underwhelming. Those death/attack scenes were kinda bland. And the presence of Graham Greene is always welcome, but he's just an exposition machine, and that's a shame. I think it's trying to be the definitive Wendigo movie, and maybe it is at this point, but it still does seem to be a waste of potential from a bunch of talented people.

It definitely had some untapped potential. I think the best deaths happened off-screen mainly because of the gore effects. And the final battle was a bit underwhelming, like that's really how he's defeated after we saw how deadly it was?

masterofallgoons James I just finishing watching Antlers and your opinions pretty much sum up to how I feel about it. Overall not bad, but it had the potential to be a better horror movie. Much of the first half was slow, and maybe that's because it was trying to be a bit on the artsy side, or perhaps trying to get a Shining vibe going. I agree the script was underdeveloped and the death scenes could have been done better. And yes, Graham Greene was pretty much wasted.
