IT and Hereditary sucked.
I like Black Swan, but it isn't a horror film.
Never saw the Evil Dead remake, but this is the only time I've seen it mentioned in a positive light. Everyone else seems to think it sucks.
Haven't seen The Guest or I Saw the Devil.
I liked all the others on this list.

I didn't like It either but everyone else does so I usually just keep my mouth shut and smile and nod when it comes up.
The Evil Dead remake wasn't good. I've mostly purged it from memory but do remember thinking it seemed like a middling product from a movie factory. I own the movie because Blockbuster went out of business while I had it and they told me to keep it.
Edit, I actually haven't seen most of the movies on that list and judging by the trailers, I won't. VVitch was good though.

Good enough list. I don’t agree with it of course, but that’s because everybody’s is gonna be different.

Instead of retreading the original, it finds a unique angle at the story, while also being insanely over-the-top in gore to the point that it comes damn close to matching peak Raimi. One of the few remakes of the last 15 years that actually did its source material justice.

Didn't the guy who was Arrow leave the site years ago? Depressing if true. I liked the site quite a lot in my youth (2001 through 2004ish is when I read it the most). Did he choose to focus on acting or is he writing for another site? Makes me wonder if the same sort of thing is bound to happen to YouTubers in the next decade. Getting bought out and kicked off of the thing you built for a cheap buck seems to be the norm nowadays.

It’s a decent looking list.
‘I Saw the Devil‘ and ‘The Witch’ are excellent picks. ‘The Guest’ was entertaining, but surprises me the most from the picks.
I would replace the ‘Evil Dead’ remake with the ‘Maniac’ remake.
Like mentioned above, I’m surprised ‘Train to Busan’ didn’t make it.
I still need to see ‘A Quiet Place’, Raw’ & ‘Heredity’.

Black Swan is a horror movie, Hereditary is definitely a good film but the second half lets the first down and Midsommar is a step up for the director, The Guest is a perfectly fine and fun movie but nothing special and less of a horror movie than others that have been argued not to be, The Conjuring and James Wan's work in general is bland and generic, IT is also perfectly decent movie and an ok representation of the book but still a let down, I feel like the response to Evil Dead generally has been good, and The Witch is rightly regarded as a masterwork.

‘The Guest’ was entertaining, but surprises me the most from the picks. How so? I don’t find it to stick out. If anything I thought the director’s previous film ‘You’re Next’ would make the list before ‘The Guest’. Since there was a lot hype around that film... sort of got people paying attention to Wingard. The ‘Green Room’ was another. Plenty of hype, and positivity.

They still have reviews but nowhere near the volume that used to be on the site.

So, what's even the point in keeping the site? So stupid. That place can't be generating *that* many clicks in 2019, especially without its namesake on staff.
