An American Werewolf in London. Tough choice though. I love The Howling nearly as much. Those are easily my two favorite werewolf films of all time.

I love "The Howling" and "Wolfen", but "American Werewolf in London" wins it for me.

An American Werewolf in London.
It's funny, has some catchy tunes, a decent story, likeable characters, some creepy moments and a fantastic end sequence.

Hard to say, I like them all. I'll have to declare a three-way tie.

Wolfen was a bit boring, but atmospheric as hell.

The two greatest Werewolf movies both came out in 1981? I wonder what was in the water that year?

Wolfman Jack
(Nah, seriously, it's AWWIL, but I also love the other two films - a banner year for the loup-garou).

The Howling.
An American Werewolf in London is the worst movie I have ever seen.

An American Werewolf in London is the best but the Howling is a close second for the year. Wolfen has some very interesting aspects but it is not nearly as good as the other 2 that year.
