isn't just essential viewing because critics often agree it's the best movie of all time. It's a timeless story of greed and power.

It's down to 35% now. Idk what this movie is or what it's about, but I wish he'd done Bad Boys 3 instead. Now there's a bland movie that coulda used Bay's bombastic stupidity to liven things up.

Good. His directing got significantly worse with Bad Boys 2 imo and he had more freedom to do what he wanted, which is why that movie has more idiotic and tasteless elements to it than the original. I'm actually glad he isn't directing the third movie.

I'm actually glad he isn't directing the third movie. Well, idiotic and tasteless is at least memorable. I don't remember much about 1, and I doubt I'll remember much about 3. We have a huge difference of opinion here. The first movie is the one that is much more memorable and it is memorable because it does what it does well and knew not to go overboard. Like The Rock for example. That is why those are his only good movies. It is memorable because of Bay's style when he knew how to restrain himself (or was forced to by the studio) and because of the chemistry between the 3 main characters. The dialogue is also much more naturalistic in the first movie. That is just me though. Well, and Roger Ebert, and most of the people I have asked anyway, and most of the critics. In regards to the first being the better movie I mean, not in that they agree with me that the first movie is memorable or even good. Bad Boys (1995) is one of the most fun action movies ever made as far as I'm concerned. Bad Boys II is just okay.

I'll tell you one thing: if you, Roger Ebert's ghost, the people you ask in the future, and "most of the critic" like 3 more than 2 - or much at all, I'll be shocked.

Michael Bay has become an increasingly worse director since even Bad Boys II and that is the main reason I am glad he doesn't direct the third movie. Most of his movies since Revenge of the Fallen have been awful, so excuse me if I don't want him directing anything anymore. It was lazy of me to use general opinion to back up my own opinion. I am well aware of this. It was just me trying to be snarky in the way you are sometimes. I'm just not good at it I guess.

It's not THAT bad. it's watchable, but ultimately forgettable. or I could say this... while I gave it a Thumbs Down, it did not waste my time watching it. 5/10 (Thumbs Down) moviemouthI tend to disagree when people bring up 'bad acting' as a fault with a movie in general simply because the odds are definitely against finding truly bad acting in a fairly known movie. you largely don't find decent name movies with acting that stands out in a bad way. sure, it's not going to win a Oscar or anything but it could be easily worse.

There are different degrees of bad acting, just like there is different degrees of good acting. I never said the acting is AWFUL, but it is mediocre enough to ruin the experience of watching the movie.

The only thing of his I've seen since the first Transformers is Pain and Gain, which is also the only movie of his I really like (unironically). If it has anything in common with BB2, it's completely unrestrained in his trashy excess. The guy is a lowbrow dudebro meathead, and when you put him on a leash, you get Pearl Harbor. If nothing else, seeing 3 made me want to rewatch the first two so maybe I'll re-remember 1's qualities and separate 2 from some funny Hot Fuzz references. And oh. Well, my snark is a fine crafted art and not easily replicable. But, with a little more practice, you should get there.

10 Worst of the year so far.
1. 6 Underground 2. Domino 3. Pet Sematary 4. Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw 5. Hustlers 6. The Laundromat 7. The Fanatic 8. Polar 9. Aladdin 10. Godzilla: King of the Monsters I seen 3 from that list. Pet Sematary and Godzilla are on my bottom 10 as well. The Fanatic was not good but I give it points for at least being amusing.

I've never heard of this so I watched the trailer. Bay forgot to cast an exceedingly hot woman in this. I may have watched it had there been a Megan Fox or Scarlett Johansson type. Ryan Reynolds is good in other movies I've seen.

6 Underground was awesome. Easily one of the best action films this year.
