It's a crock of shit. The Minors have never been better, in terms of fan appreciation. Even the teams in the lowest classes are good for local economies. The majors don't care about attendance because none of that goes into their pockets. All they need is player development. They have threatened to completely pull the plug on the Minors and do player development from the Florida and Arizona complexes period. It's short sighted. It has to help kids to get used to bigger and bigger crowds. Take a HS pitcher. He plays before a few hundred in HS, A few hundred in Florida. Then 40,000 in the Bronx or Chavez Ravine. If they do this, they will be bombarded with lawsuits from cities who's teams got nuked. The system works, dolts, leave it alone
