one that comes to mind right away for me is Shrek 2. I thought the first Shrek was lame even as a kid

I saw the first Shrek once many years ago. I think I liked it, but didn't have any desire to go any further with the franchise.

Avengers: Endgame. Maybe I'll see it someday in the future but for me right now, there's too much surrounding it.

99% of films from the last decade.
And who hates on Shrek, that was a fantastic movie. It was basically written for adults with a cute donkey for the kids.

Starting in the early years of this decade now almost over, I have progressively seen fewer and fewer new films. Just too many superheros, new versions of older brands, noisy nerve jangling action movies, "based on a true story," and unfunny romantic comedies. So far I have only seen 8 films dated 2019 by the database and three of them are documentaries. Maybe next year some good 2019 films from foreign lands will arrive. Hong Kong/China knows how to do action. I often enjoy their cop, caper, and spy thrillers.

There is a massive amount of material here that I have yet to discover and is more satisfying and interesting to view than most of the current films that people seem to adore.

Shrek 2 is way better, even if you didn't like the first one, I would recommend the sequel.

All of the crappy Star War sequels. I saw the first, and will never see another after that. IMO, it is all adolescent tripe.

I haven’t thought about any. I try to watch as many movies as possible, especially ones that people do love to see what the praise is all about.
