Only seen one so far this year, Parasite. Was decent though I didn't care for the ending.

Good luck on finding any as there are not many non-English language movies that stand out in general in my book.

hi224That's not actually correct. it's only a small percentage (about 7%) of everything I have seen is all or... roughly 1 out of every 12-15 movies I have seen over the long term stand out.

I've not seen any 2019 foreign films that I'd call great yet, but I haven't seen that many 2019 films foreign or otherwise. If you just mean films I've viewed in 2019, many, even more if I include rewatches. And another reminder to all those interested in "foreign" (non-English language) cinema, there is a World Cinema Board. I'm conducting best-of-year polls over there now and of course all other "World Cinema" related threads are also welcome. Would be nice to see a name other than my own in the "Created by" column.
