So basically it seems that JJ tried to undo the "damage" of The Last Jedi and in the end we'll get a widely uneven trilogy made by people that didn't know the direction that the story was supposed to take. I'll see it for myself tonight. I have low expectations which will probably means I'll end up liking it.

I am glad that you aren't 1 of those people who already decided weeks and months ago that the Movie was going to be Terrible without even having seen it.
Heck, you may or may not like the Movie but I always think that when it comes to seeing New Movies for the first time, you always Always ALWAYS have to give it a fair chance. That is just how I myself feel about it.

I didn’t read the spoilers since I am curious about seeing it and going in with no expectations. However if it’s that low so far then I’m gonna be worried.

I have just returned from watching the movie at the cinema. And frankly i enjoyed it more than i thought i would. I am sure plenty of people will hate it. But personally i thought it was a good movie. Its the best one of the Sequel trilogy in my personal opinion.
I rate it 7.5/10

I Agree however you should see the amount of Negative Video Reviews of the Movie there are on YOUTUBE right now (just type in the search box thee "Star Wars Rise of Skywalker Reviews".
Also, the RottenTomatoes score of the Movie is really giving the people who didn't like the Movie more reason to say Negative things about it.

The cost of no actual direction for the trilogy from the beginning is that it feels disjointed and randomly put together.
Also, why was Abrams the one they trusted with the start of this new trilogy? He’s an impressive technical director, but lacks in originality. Hindsight being 20-20, it was a mistake to bring him on at all.

I've always felt that an up-and-coming director with something to prove would have been more appropriate for something like The Force Awakens. I mean even Rian Johnson was a more inspired choice to direct a Star Wars film than J.J. Abrams.

Well that is impossible for me to know, but if you like both Force Awakens and the Last Jedi my guess is that you will enjoy The Rise of Skywalker.
