I have no idea. I just saw the picture and thought it would be a good contribution to this thread. When you first started it, I thought I had a really nice photo of a sunset behind the Dallas skyline, but I couldn't find it and still can't. >< Are bluebonnets exclusive to Texas?

"Lupinus texensis, the Texas bluebonnet or Texas lupine is a species of lupine endemic to Texas, plus the Mexican states of Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas. With other related species of lupines also called bluebonnets, it is the state flower of Texas."
There are wild and cultivated other lupines but the Texas ones have a unique blueness to them... and that smell is … wow !

Is it really that bad?

I don't recall ever being close enough to one to smell it. Is it really that bad? It's a wonderful smell ! Sweet and spicy together ! Especially when there is whole field of them ! There's a lot down in the Hill Countryy… near Pedernales.

This one is labelled Dallas That's a nice one, but not the one I lost. It was taken a few weeks ago during some kind of weird hazy night. I know I kept it somewhere on my PC, but I may not have named it properly. I'll post it here if I find it.

BATouttaheckFound it. Turns out I didn't save it after all, but it was in my browser history. It's not as cool as I remembered it, but still cool nonetheless. There was something in the air that night that produced an unusually orange sunset. I tried to take a picture of it but failed, then looked for one online that night. This is what I found: I would have panned a little more to the left.

Did you take any of the photos you've posted in this thread? Nope ... have never stashed pictures anywhere that I can link to from here. May try to figure out the how-to during the "stay at home" I have one of an egret on a pier with the sunset behind it ! National Geographic worthy !

Well, you know what they say... The early egret gets the photo but the second heron says cheese. So get to figuring already. I'll wait. In the meantime, here's one I took about two years ago. I bet that's better than yours. /taunt
