Another masterful post, petrolino, and I, too, echo jervistetch 's thanks for all your hard, creative, beautiful work. In this case, I confess I wasn't fully aware of the extent of this great actor's career, so I'm very glad you filled in the blanks. And thanks for your mention of Turtle Diary. It's one of my favorites, which in my opinion has always been underestimated and overlooked. I just wanted to add one title that I also think is noteworthy: his excellent portrayal of Otto Frank in the 2001 Emmy winning, Anne Frank: The Whole Story. Anyone who hasn't seen it should, because the "whole story" part is utterly devastating. Thanks spiderwort. Your kindness is appreciated. As you know yourself, it can take many hours of writing and researching to compile a single topic. Trying to be as accurate in the information you share as possible, takes time. But it's my distinct pleasure to interact with film fans from around the globe. Every week I learn something new about cinema due to visiting these boards, and most weeks I come away with a film recommendation to look in to, all because there are people who put passion, care and thought into their starter topics and posts.
If nobody did, it would be nothing more than a selfie cesspool swimming in snide malevolence and snarkery. In which case, I believe some people would look for an alternative online.

You're welcome, petrolino, and thank you for your wonderful comments here. I know I do not speak for myself alone when I say that we are lucky to have you. You learn from us, yes, but you teach us, too. What a gift that is to all, yourself included.

Do not underestimate snarkery. It can be the grit within the oyster shell which produces the pearl.
