The Saints look lousy, they are laying an egg so far, they appear to be asleep. They've had their division sewn up for weeks. They are sleep-walking to the playoffs. This will allow them to be mentally and physically rested for the playoffs, unlike Green Bay, Dallas, San Francisco, Minnesota, and Seattle who are in dog fights for their division. Having a weaker division makes you better in the playoffs. Its science.

If Minnesota beats Green Bay, and Seattle beats San Francisco, the Saints need to win their last two regular season games in order to get the #1 seed, and homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. So if they were to lose this game, it would matter? Well that certainly is new and different, because you told me that Drew Brees and Matt Ryan continually lose to Miami, Buffalo and NYJ because they are interconference and the least important games. Yes it would matter. If they lose any of their last 3 games, they will be virtually eliminated from the 1rst or 2nd seed. The Saints have a winning record against the Dolphins, Jets and Bills in the Payton/Brees era (last 14 years).

Titans complete a long pass, reciever gets smashed by a Saint defender - shoulder to head - on a play that could have been penalized for targeting. But for some reason the refs, which had been penalizing each team for nothing, stops calling obvious penalties for both teams. Instead, receiver fumbles, Saints recover with good field position. Offense scores a touchdown.
