Eagles get the win 17-9 and are in position to win the NFC East. Great win for the Eagles winning despite the numerous injuries to key players, they played a very good game, Wentz was solid and their defense stepped up and made some big plays. Lousy performance from the Cowboys, Dak didn’t look very good and their offense failed to get going against a mediocre Eagles defense, this has been an extremely disappointing year for the Cowboys, they haven’t played up to their talent level. With all that talent the Cowboys should’ve dominated the East. |

Agreed, the Cowboys should’ve run away with the division given the fact that the Skins and Giants suck moose dick and the Eagles have had a boatload of injuries and a mediocre defensive unit, there’s no excuse for the Cowboys not winning the division, on paper they have a strong all around team but they never played up to their talent level. They still have an outside shot at winning the division if the Eagles shit the bed next week, but there’s no excuse for the Cowboys being so mediocre. Garrett has to go IMO.

The Seahawks are done in the playoffs without Carson; their passing game is too inconsistent and Russell Wilson has hit a cold patch. They're a run-first team now down to their 3rd string RB.

Devastating blow for the Seahawks. They will have to become an all out passing team and I’m unsure of whether they can adjust their schemes to do that.

Yet another overthrow by Trubisky on what would’ve been a TD. Trubisky is trash, he has been nothing but mediocre since he came into the league. He will have to rapidly improve soon or he will be a total bust. I think it will haunt the Bears for a long time that they could’ve had Mahomes or Watson and chose Trubisky instead.

Here is my recap and analysis of Week 16’s games
Chiefs defeat Bears 26-3. Chiefs with a dominant win, they are playing well on both sides of the ball right now and they are a talented team, they will be a contender in the AFC playoffs IMO. The Bears continue to struggle on offense and I have no confidence in Trubisky going forward, yes a better receiving unit and more options to throw to would help him but he’s been incredibly mediocre in his first 3 seasons.
Eagles defeat Cowboys 17-9. Eagles are now in the drivers seat in the NFC East with this win, a very impressive performance given how many injuries they are dealing with, their defense which has struggled a lot stepped up and made big plays and their offense made enough plays to get them the win. The Cowboys continue to disappoint, despite a talented roster they have not played up to their potential this season, I think Garrett needs to be fired, there is no excuse for them not making the playoffs this season.
Saints defeat Titans 38-28. Saints with another nice win, Brees with another good game, Thomas breaks the record for receptions in a season, and the Saints continue to play well, they are one of the NFL’s best teams IMO. The Titans put up a good fight and their offense has played well under Tannehill and they will be in the playoffs with a win against the Texans next week, it will be interesting to see if they can get in.
Ravens defeat Browns 31-15. Ravens clinch home field advantage in the AFC playoffs with this win, they are playing very well and Jackson had another nice game and is the frontrunner for MVP, the Ravens will definitely be contenders in the playoffs IMO. The Browns have been disappointing, Mayfield has regressed some IMO and the organization appears to be in internal chaos and players do not appear to be happy, I think Kitchens will be fired, he isn’t the right fit for this team IMO, the Browns have talent but they need a couple of more pieces and better coaching IMO.
Jets defeat Steelers 16-10. Jets are playing very well to close out the season and I believe things are going upwards for them, they have their franchise QB and I think they will be better next year. The Steelers are struggling on offense as both of their QB’s aren’t good enough to be NFL starters IMO and it’s impressive that they are even in the playoff race given how weak they are on offense, I don’t think they will make the playoffs and if they do they won’t go anywhere IMO.
Cardinals defeat Seahawks 27-13. Seahawks laid an egg in this game, they looked asleep the entire game, a lousy, lifeless, pathetic effort from them, and Carson is out for the season which will be a huge blow for them going forward. Cardinals are rebuilding but this was a nice win for them and they will be improved next year IMO.
Falcons defeat Jaguars 24-12. Falcons are playing very well right now, their passing attack is very good and their defense is playing much better, when their defense plays well they are a strong team, it will be interesting to see if they keep Quinn, they should have a better record than they do. The Jags looked weak once again, Minshew didn’t play well and the Jags have a big decision to make about whether to keep him or not, it will be interesting to see what they do.
Raiders defeat Chargers 24-17. Raiders get the win as they have the superior team, they are improving and should have a decent team when they move to Vegas next season. The Chargers have been incredibly disappointing this season, they need to make some changes IMO and I don’t think Rivers will be their QB for much longer.
Colts defeat Panthers 38-6. Colts win big, they have a solid team with talent on both sides of the ball, but I don’t think Brissett is good enough to be a franchise QB and the Colts will have to decide what to do. The Panthers have quit and are playing terrible football and they also have a QB decision to make, their future is very uncertain.
Broncos defeat Lions 27-17. Broncos get the win, they may have found their franchise QB in Lock as they have been much more potent on offense since he took over, they need to improve on both sides of the ball though. The Lions have mailed it in and need to rebuild their defense to be more competitive next year.
Giants defeat Redskins 41-35. Both teams suck, the Giants win in an offensive shootout, both teams need to rebuild, especially on defense.
Dolphins defeat Bengals 38-35. Another game where both teams suck, the Fins are slightly better as the Bengals are now guaranteed to get the #1 pick in the 2020 draft.

Wonder what the payout is for that as AFC title matchup.

As someone who appreciates preparation, I really get a kick out of this fan. (Scroll down a little for the actual video footage.) Of course, I have to assume he'll wear the standard criminal ski mask when Roethlisberger comes back. Seriously though, love the commitment and the creativity. This guy was ready for anything. |
