Using Boxofficemojo for a guide, which only shows 1977 to date, and sticking to where the #1 $$$ movie WORLDWIDE was also my #1 movie in the particular year...
-Back to the Future (1985)
-Top Gun (1986)
-Rain Man (1988)
p.s. Skyfall (2012) was #2 of 2012 which is my #1 movie of 2012 and within my Top 16 movies in general.that movie wipes the floor with The Avengers as The Avengers is forgettable unlike Skyfall.
