Yep. I agree. It's also very annoying when you see "30" RIP Threads concerning the same dead (Fill In The Blank) Actor.
For some reason, people can't just join in on someone else's discussion. They have to create their own discussion.
I guess it is that way, so they can feel important... Either that, or... They are too lazy to use the Search threads function.
But, that's the way things are around here.

I skip threads that seem to be of zero interest to me. I sure don't waste time and ebergy counting them all and then starting another thread complaining about the vast number of threads that are of zero interest to me !  |

Technically we don't need any thread about any of these films or any film at all, these are not things we need but things we want, better question is do we really want 30 separate topics about one SW film?

It's to be expected, given the status of the franchise. Though the hype for the latest film seems to be a lot more subdued that what's normally the case.
Personally, the last Star Wars movie I enjoyed was Return of the Jedi, so I haven't been paying much attention to the new release.
