those "True sequels to the original" type movies, or should it follow up from The Matrix Revolutions?

I'd be interested in a prequel about Morpheus. Not with Lawrence Fishbourne though (too old)

It's probably going to ignore the sequels anyway. I do wonder how Neo and Trinity will be brought back given their fates in Revolutions.

That’d not be confusing at all.

After "Revolutions," same continuity. Morpheus is the main character. Neo and Trinity who died in 'real life' have been integrated into programs in the matrix. They are designed to assist Morpheus in the process of waking people up. Kind of like Shamans. They meet a few minds so unwilling to believe/leave the Matrix that they fight back. Which is where all the fighting is. The whole thing with the guy eating steak in the first one...if it tastes good, what does it matter? Humans end up resisting other humans trying to wake them up. I don't know where Smith fits in, but he has to be there somewhere...

I hope not. While I hated the sequels, doing that is such a cheat. If you're making a new sequel in order to fix the previous sequels' mistakes, then actually fix them (like X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST did); don't ignore them.

No
I like The Matrix Reloaded and I dislike Revolutions, but I would prefer if the new movie didn't ignore either of them.

If you don't mind me asking, What Actor do you think would be the Perfect Choice to play a Young Morpheus ?

Yahya Abdul-Mateen (Watchmen, Aquaman, Baywatch, The Greatest Showman) might be playing a young Morpheus.

Mackie maybe, the latter exudes too much volatility.
