I really (unironically) found it shabby how they treated her in this. Their narrative was that Tran was mistreated by the toxic fandom, so I would have assumed that she gets an adequate role in this film as moral compensation and political statement. But no, upon Leia's orders Rose Tico must study destroyer schematics and cannot come along on the mission (Finn seemed relieved). To add insult to injury all relevant lines about "dark science and cloning" were spoken by JJ's hobbit buddy who was shoehorned into this film, he was even allowed to hug and kiss the penis alien Klaude at the end. If you do not sell toys, you are pretty worthless in Hollywood.  Nobody loves rose |

That what happens when your character is the most useless and worthless amongst an entire film of useless and worthless characters...way to go RJ you didn't just fuck up her first movie you also fucked her up for her 2nd, too bad for KMT though, not her fault RJ wrote a character that had no redeeming qualities or moments in an entire movie when they were meant to be one of the heroes.

Try being with the franchise 40+ years and being sidelined/having your iconic character humiliated so some unlikable, worthless characters can "take your place". She made out better than the actress who played her sister at least. She should be thankful. Take a seat, Tico.

For shits and giggles I am assuming these are meant to be legit places because fuck if I know otherwise but...What fucking movie was the guy from Slate watching when he watched TLJ? according to him Rose "essentially saved the day" in TLJ...How exactly? because of her and Finn the FO know about the Resistance's plan to hide on the planet and she specifically prevents Finn from trying to blow up the "death star tech" that breached their bases defences, leaving them exposed all so she could save Finn because they need to save the things they love...
Also Rose was one of the leads of TLJ apparently with just 10 minutes of screen time, in a 150+ minute movie, and she was the "first" female person of colour in all of Star Wars ever...except for Iden Versio played y Janina Gavankar in Battlefront 2 which came out before TLJ and Sabine Wren voiced by Tiya Sircar of Indian heritage, and was meant to not be a "white" character, so yeah maybe first live action human female character of colour, but still not what they said...idiot.
