Yuck at Jeter being at 100%
Walker is deserving.
Fuck the other 3 top 5.
Happy to see Andruw Jones getting more representation this year even though I dont think he is a HOF'er. Just glad he is getting more than a 1 and done which he was at risk of last year.

He will get 100% I have little doubt and its gross. Media loved him and the voters would get ripped by New York fans/media if they didnt vote for him. Glad I visited the HOF before a bunch of the roiders got in at least.

Hope so but this years class is pretty weak. They might slip in.

Larry Walker needs in.
Coors Field might be a thing, but if the air is different, that means double the strike zones to master. The Rockies also play every single road game out of their home time zone. So yeah, the Coors Effect can't forever penalize guys.

Jeter 100% Schilling 79.1% Bonds and Clemens 76.5%. Seems like 3/4 of people vote for both and `1/4 vote for neither. No one else will contend. Rolen is closest at 48.7%, Vizquel 47.0%.

But usually they have higher vote totals at this point, they all go down as more votes go in. 86% at this point is going to be very very close. He might just finish at 75% Schilling won't make it. Clemens and Bonds definitely won't.

I think the only reason players like Aaron, Mays, Randy Johnson etc didn't get in because "______ shouldn't be the first to get 100%." The spell is broken.

Most of the voters who don’t publicize their ballots don’t vote for the juicers. My prediction is that Bonds, Clemens and other juicers get in from some future veterans’ committee a la Baines and Trammell.

Yes, I think it's barely over a 4th of the voters so far which means their percent totals will go down a lot. I think Bonds and Clemens may have even less than last year. But yeah, someday when all the older folks are out of voting, Bonds and Clemens get in by a VC committee of some sort. The other thing is if Ortiz gets in on the regular vote, that will definitely open the door.

I seem to remember that Bonds and Clemens have looked pretty good early in the process only to fall off as things move along.

A lot of voters were down on Larry Walker, saying his numbers were due to playing in the mountains. Why is that an issue? Babe Ruth benefited from playing in a tailor made ballpark. Yankee Stadium should have been called "The House built for Ruth". Many other got numbers padded by a ballpark. Looks like he will get in

Coors' unique air, Walker had to contend with 2 different 'strike zones' his entire time.

But I don't think a player should be penalized for the park or the environment they played in.
