People here don't seem to be aware that movies have also been made outside of the UK and the US.

Here are a couple that fit the bill for me:
"Dick Tracy" w/Warren Beatty and Madonna
"Demon Seed" w/Julie Christie and Fritz Weaver
"Mickey One" w/Warren Beatty (hard to find)

sdrew13163Weird that you only like that one a lot as I think outside of MI2, Fallout is the worst of the rest of the series overall (it's still among my favorite movies though, but sometimes is missing from the overall movie(even though it's got some solid scene(s)) to take it to the level of the other movies). I rank the MI series like this... 1)MI (1996) - 7.5-8/10 -)MI3 (2006) -)MI5 (2016) 4)MI4 (2011) 5)MI6 (2018) - 7/10 6)MI2 (2000) - 5/10 (Thumbs Down) so given that info there about 1st/3rd/5th movies are basically tied for me with MI4 being just a touch behind those, but still the same score(MI4 went up in score on my 5th viewing (Dec 2018) from a 7/10 to a 7.5-8/10)), and MI6 is the weak link of the movies that are solid with MI2 being the clear cut weak link of the series straight up. NOTE: my most recent re-watch all of the movies besides MI2 in Dec 2018. hell, I even decided to give MI2 another chance in Sep 2019 (previous was Apr 2012 which is when it went from a 9/10 back to a 5/10) and it's still not worth re-watching anymore but I figured since the rest of the series was solid maybe I was a little hard on it in Apr 2012, but nope, my rating of it in 2012 is accurate.

@ponty
But I would argue not many movies outside of the English speaking countries are of any real worth. some sure, but not many.
so it's much safer to stick to English language movies as a general rule.
p.s. my #1 non-English movie, which is French, is... Angel-A (2005) ; which is within my Top 16 movie straight up.

I think it’s easily the best one. Mixes action, drama, and mystery really well with perfect technical skills (cinematography, fight choreography, chase choreography, sound, music, etc). I enjoy all of them to an extent, though.

sdrew13163I see. I guess we all can see different things in random movies. but just among the recent two MI movies... I think the 2015 movie just clicks all around better than the 2018 which was missing something for me even though it has an occasional solid bit etc. like Rebecca Ferguson was a solid entry in the 2015 movie, which in the 2018 one she was less of a factor. not that that solely makes or breaks a MI movie though but I thought she was one of the better things about the 2015 movie etc but in the 2018 movie, while she's still in it, she went a bit on the back burner. but thanks for the reply

Is it patronizing when it's true? Take a look at the lists. It's patronizing to say there aren't that many great foreign movies. Just because you don't know of them doesn't mean it's true.

Of course they are aware that films are made outside the USA and UK - so there is no 'truth' there for starters. They just aren't interested. Whether you approve of that , or not, is not really your place to say. If you don't like it..fk off.
