Wrong, they do care. And I'm so happy when tattooed people aren't accept in their jobs. We have nurses in full sleeves and people with neck tattoos. They can't be obscene, obviously, but it's part of the discrimination policy. You can't discriminate based on physical appearance alone. Wrong. Hospitals don't care about them anymore either. Medical professionals are generally trained to not judge others for superficial reasons. If my brain was constantly making negative assumptions about others because they have tattoos, I would to totally toxic to my workplace. Most good jobs do not accept visible tattoes at all. And that makes me happy.

I live in Florida. Sometimes I wear shirts that aren't collared. They don't care even when I wear dresses/clothing that allow it to peek out. In the vast majority of the cases they do really care.
And what's your job?
I have two. I'm an employment specialist and job coach for intellectually disabled high-schoolers and adults, in which I work with them to place them either directly in jobs or into OJT, and in which I open up job opportunities for said individuals in their respective counties by contacting businesses and haranguing management. Often, mom and pop shops are most willing to work with us, as bigger franchises and corporations tend to consider them liabilities / not worth the hassle. It really shows how many of their "anti-discrimination hiring practices" are farcical. The one kid with Downs you see bagging items does not make up for the thousands of people just like him who are out of work because they're seen as not being worth training. Anyway, I'm ranting...sorry. I also teach writing at the college level.
