First season of The Mandalorian finished yesterday. Although I did like The Rise of Skywalker, this show is much more alive and invigorating. More than once, I was like "fuck, yeah". You wouldn't hear that when watching Episode 9. Too bad will have to wait until fall 2020 for the second season. I have spoken.

It's good. Has a good feel and authenticity about it. Vague word on the street is Dave Filoni's been personally tapped by George Lucas to carry the mythology forward.
It's still a bit strange watching anything live action Star Wars with a television show's run time, but so far so bueno. Strong opening season.

that seems to be the general consensus and a natural progression given the wide storytelling and world building possibilities the Golden Age of TV provides. The Clone Wars series showed what was possible.
Alas, the movies got bogged down in formulaic, uncreative, Marvel-humor laced junk food for the dumb masses. They severely damaged the franchise. They must be de-canonized to bring balance to the saga again.

They must be de-canonized to bring balance to the saga again. Yeah, that's not gonna happen. Like them or not, this new trilogy is canon much like the maligned prequels.
