Not. All. Force. Users. Have. The. Same. Abilities.
And on the subject of creating plot holes, the prequels (which I like more than most people) told us R2 could fly with rockets, and also showed people talking about wiping Threepio's memory, leaving us to believe that R2 should remember Obi-Wan, Anakin, etc.

Remember, he refers to Obi-Wan Kenobi as his master and C3P0 has no idea what he's talking about. Of course, R2 belonged to Padme, not Obi-Wan. Which is perhaps why Obi-Wan says he doesn't remember owning a droid. Would R2 know Anakin is Darth Vader though? Obi-Wan and Padme leave him on the ship in Mustafar so he may not have realised what exactly happened with Anakin - he probably assumed he was dead and never knew he took the name Darth Vader.

all the god mode-powers I could overlook as lore-breaking logic holes by simply arguing that the Jedi before just did not know how to Force heal or Force revive or Force teleport or Force skype. After all the generations before us were not able to skype either were they (cringe²)…
But what is a real narrative problem is that Rey brings final balance to the Force - this retconing Anakin's relevance in Lucas story. Bringing balance means "destroying the Sith" thus freeing the Force of the disturbance of the dark side. Now, for how long did Vader destroy the Sith if Palpatine was never really destroyed? The prophesy was ultimately about Rey.
They were so lazy and without vision that they deliberately sabotage the story before (including their own trilogy), if his is not the epitome of hack-dom what is?
The only way to bring balance to the saga again is by de-canonizing the sequels and make them corporate fanfiction. Works for me.
