I've been pronouncing the first two digits of this decade as "twenty" since it kicked over from '09 to '10.  Please, everybody: Twenty-twenty. Twenty-twenty. Twenty-twenty. Start practicing it now, and you'll soon see with perfect vision (sorry about that!) that you're saying the year as it's meant to be said.

I called 2019, twenty-nineteen, so it goes that I will refer to 2020 as twenty-twenty.

Not 100% related but I heard advice to not abbreviate the year as 20 on checks/paperwork/documents and write out 2020. Someone could change up the year on you with just the 20.
