Tom Lester, the last surviving cast member of the TV series GREEN ACRES, where he played the role of dim-witted farm hand Eb Dawson, died April 20 at age 81 from complications of Parkinson's disease.

Actress Shirley Knight passed away today at the age of 83. She began her career as an ingenue in films like The Dark at the Top of the Stairs (1960) and Sweet Bird of Youth (1962) and received Oscar nominations for both.

American R&B singer and songwriter Eddie Cooley has left us at the age of 87, on April 15th.  Around 1955 he contacted Otis Blackwell with an idea for a song he had written, "Fever." According to Blackwell, Cooley said to him: "Man, I got an idea for a song called 'Fever,' but I can´t finish it." Blackwell finished writing the song, and it was recorded by Little Willie John, becoming an R&B #1 hit in 1956, and later being recorded by Peggy Lee, Elvis Presley, Madonna, Beyoncé, and many others. American television producer and screenwriter Joel Ragosin has left us at the age of 87, on April 21st from complications of COVID-19.  He was known for producing such television series as 77 Sunset Strip, The Virginian, Ironside, Magnum, P.I., and Knight Rider from the 1960s to the 1990s. He was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards for his production work on Ironside in 1970 and 1971, and received his third Emmy nomination for producing Magnum, P.I. in 1983. English entertainer, singer-songwriter, record producer, writer, broadcaster and actor Ian Whitcomb has left us at the age of 78, on April 19th.  As part of the British Invasion, his hit song "You Turn Me On" reached number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1965. American theatre, film, and television director and producer, Peter H. Hunt, passed away on April 26 at the age of 81.  He won a Tony Award for directing the musical 1776. His feature film credits include the screen adaptations of 1776 and Give 'em Hell, Harry! On television he directed episodes of Great Performances, American Playhouse, CBS Summer Playhouse, and numerous TV movies and series. He was director Gordon Hunt's brother and the uncle of actress Helen Hunt. Remembered at Broadway World. R.I.P. Peter H. Hunt

From the 1960s through the early 2000s, Gersten played a major role in shaping American drama and musical theatre through his work with the New York Shakespeare Festival, Radio City Music Hall, and the Lincoln Center Theatre. He won a total of fifteen Tony Awards. His theatrical productions include Six Degrees of Separation, War Horse, A Delicate Balance, Company, Brighton Beach Memoirs, and revivals of Carousel, The Heiress, The Little Foxes, and South Pacific. He also worked as Executive Vice President of Creative Affairs at Francis Coppola's Zoetrope Studios, and was the executive producer of One From the Heart.
