Money is the root of all evil, but I would gladly pay $10 bucks a month just to be a part of the IMDB discussion boards again. No offense to the admin, but this forum is just not filling the void to my liking. I think a paid subscription would filter out a lot of the trolling as well.

I miss the movie discussion boards, but the most I'd pay is $5.00/month. Over that, it's not worth it.

Haven't tried it, even during the events and tests, but wasn't there something like IMDB Pro, where you paid to get access to more stuff?
As for the question, even if I miss the boards, I wouldn't remove my ad blocker nor pay a monthly subscription fee.

I'm with mecano04. I wasn't as invested in the IMDb Boards as many people here (I was relatively new to the boards when they closed), but I wouldn't remove my ad blocker or pay. I was considering the former, but it's just not worth it--and having to pay is out of the question.

With millions of subscribers, I think $1 or $2 bucks would be even better. Haven't tried it, even during the events and tests, but wasn't there something like IMDB Pro, where you paid to get access to more stuff? As for the question, even if I miss the boards, I wouldn't remove my ad blocker nor pay a monthly subscription fee. They still have IMDBPro, but it is geared more towards the business side of Hollywood and for professionals such as agents, actors, production companies etc. I paid for a subscription at one time because I was interested in looking up more details on stats, but there was nothing upgraded on the forum section.

I suppose it would be worth disabling AdBlock on their site or participating in a survey. Maybe a yearly subscription fee of $5 - $10, not monthly.
I really do not see this happening. At most, if they do by some miracle bring it back, then it'll be a Facebook commenting system. I doubt they would let trolls and bots run rampant on their site again.
If they used a credit card for verification like they did mid-2007, then I'm sure registration would be a lot more vigorous than what it used to be.

Nope. There are plenty of free sites (including this one) to discuss movies on. Plus, I give Amazon enough money as it is. No need to pay for what you can get for free elsewhere.

I'd be willing to pay a very small one if it keeps out the spammers and sock puppets.

I would only be willing to pay for a subscription and then it would depend on how much it was.

My response is "No fuck that!"
And I no longer support them by visiting their site. I want to see their site about as much as I want to see an auditor with leprosy.

I already disable my AdBlocker for sites which require the advertising revenue. I think it's funny that people think that they were 'supporting' IMDb by using a free facility whilst having the advertising blocked.
