Ralph Macchio was 31 playing a college student in "My Cousin Vinny"
But he looked a fair amount younger. so it looks plausible he could pass for early-to-mid 20's.
or just as a general comment in relation to the topic... many people around their early-to-mid 20's or so still can plausibly pass for teenagers as I think there are a fair amount of people out there who are around their mid 20's that still could pass for older teenagers. like say those around 17-25 or so, many look about the same age.
p.s. hell, one thing people might not know in relation to Ralph Macchio is in the 3rd Karate Kid movie he's actually older than Thomas Ian Griffith, who plays Terry. by looking at them you would have never thought that as it looks like there is at least a decade between the two.

The whole main cast of The Big Bang Theory. Just learned recently that the actress who plays Amy Farrah Fowler is 44! I'd assumed she was in her 30s max. She used to play in a show called Blossom back in the early '90's.

In The Major and the Minor, Ginger Rogers was playing a grown woman who was pretending to be 12 years old. Small but important distinction.

In "Little Annie Rooney" (1925) 33 year old Mary Pickford plays a 12 year old girl. It's an excellent movie from the silent era.

High school age doesn’t bug me as much. Unless they’re like 50 and look it...but an adult playing a 12 yr old, or younger, is just weird.
