It seems like they are not even keeping the new characters around unless they appear in books or cartoons.
They rushed the sequel trilogy to be done in 4 years, and built a new theme park around these characters and now they are lame ducks

Oh they'll surely keep appearing in some form. The saga finished but they'll continue in other ways. Probably books of Finn's time as a Stormtrooper.
There was a whole year between VIII and IX for them to make loads of books and comic.

I mean it isn't like they had a great story they just HAD to tell, they set the release dates before they even had scripts, and the movies don't even flow together, so yeah money, which they made less and less of every time...there be a lesson in there somewhere me thinks.

They had Ant-Man be a key payoff to Endgame for fcuk's sake... you go back 10yrs & tell the world that one & they'd laugh in your face.
