...yet another conspiracy is going around that J.J. and crew "stole" shots and story beats from Endgame. Rise of Skywalker went into production in September, 2018 (which means the script was completed even earlier than that), and Endgame wasn't released until April, 2019. Case closed.

calm down, those blockbusters are so derivative and formulaic that they all feel the same.
The whole thing reminded me rather of Haryr Potter and Wonder Woman where she fights Ares. In the end it rehashes the plot beats of RotJ more than anything else.
