I'm really surprised by the sudden rise of 1917. Although I haven't watched it, I didn't think it was going to fare well during awards season. It won the Golden Globe (for film AND director) and it just got a big boost from the BAFTA nominations. It didn't get a SAG nomination for Best Cast...but neither did the last two Best Picture winners (Green Book and The Shape of Water).
