... than what he got out of the sequel trilogy. He's great at making the best of poor material. And what I've found is that performative-wise, he got better as the films went on. The moment between him and Harrison Ford is definitely one of the better acted scenes in the film and the series as a whole. But what surprised me was how Adam really began channelling Han Solo/Harrison Ford into his performance after he turned. It was a mix of young Harrison and even River Phoenix. When he's fighting the Knights of Ren, and Rey force-teleports the lightsaber to him, that smirk he gives is a total Han Solo trait. It's just subtle idiosyncrasy like that Adam gives to his performance and nails that makes him fun to watch.
