We did this, somewhat, last year. Let's try again. Who would you vote? BBWAA will announce their result on Jan 21. See how close our result to theirs.

He was on for 10 years and didn’t make it so he’s no longer eligible that way. If he gets in it’ll be by a veteran’s committee.

Sports Board HOF? There are a few shoo-ins:
nutsberryfarm
TheGoodMan19
Carl Lafong
Several others have strong cases to be first ballot Sports Board HOFers. If you're a borderline candidate, total number of Sanduskys won will be a significant factor in the committee's decision.

Average is 5.27 votes per voter.
Jeter and Visquel. Maybe Walker and Schilling.

I’m wondering who feels that JJ Putz and Brian Roberts deserve enshrinement.

Only Jeter for now. Kent was above 75% at the start and dropped off.

I've heard that many metrics nerds like Abreu's resume.

I've heard that many metrics nerds like Abreu's resume. There is absolutely nothing hall of fame worthy about Bobby Abreu’s career.

Nothing in that article convinces me that he should be in the HOF. They compare him to Junior Griffey but pluck out all his power stats and compare him to Pudge Rodriguez, a player who’s worthy AT CATCHER. Abreu is a tool that did well in one meaningless home run derby and otherwise didn’t have an important hit in his career.

I've heard that many metrics nerds like Abreu's resume. I wonder what Phillies fan think of him during his prime. From a Yankees fan's perspective, just on fielding alone, he should not be in. When he was with the Yankees mid 00s along with the new Cano, Yankees may have the worst right side of the field. I don't remember ever see him make an effort on a tough play, except when he return as an Angels one of the first games as a Yankees. He dived and crashed into the wall to make a catch. He only sticked out his arm and pulled it back nearing the wall when he was a Yankees. One of the most laziest fielders I ever watched. Sure he got good offensive number. I don't remember a single Abreu moment. Lots of piled up #s. He may just get in based on his offensive # if he is chubby enough with the writers.
