They really captured lightning in a bottle with that one. So many shark films that have came out since, but not one has even come close to the same cultural relevance (remember the forgetable Deep Blue Sea?) On top of that the shark will almost certainly be CGI and ridiculous looking.

Jaws Remake Hang on a second, now I actually clicked the bloody link, this may not be true. Wegotthiscovered is fun to read but its reliability is pretty dubious. If it is true, yeah it's groan inducing but really, the death of cinema as we know it? We had a remake of Ghostbusters, The Magnificent Seven, and Ben-fuckin- Hur released in the same year and life moved on.

Jaws Remake Agreed, everything else gets remade, why should this be an exception. Hell, the most famous version of Ben Hur WAS A REMAKE.
