Medal 1-General Pryde
Medal 2-Jannah
Medal 3-Zorii Bliss
Medal 4-new droid
Possible Medal 5-Lando (a stand-in for Leia after both she and Carrie passed)
The film already had enough on its plate, couldve developed other things more ie Knights of Ren or explained Palp's return or both. Also why intro new characters in the final film?....I dont get it...

i don't think so, since none of them took massive screentime , like Rose is TLJ. They were there when main characters were there, nothing was taken. But i think Jannah is only only one that enhanced the story at all, it rounded out Finn a little more.
General Pryde just replaced Hux which became a complete joke after TLJ.

It’s not unheard of in the third installment of a SW trilogy. It’s happened before. But in the past it’s been ONE impact new character. In the prequels it was General Grievous. And in the OT it was.... (wait for it)... Fleet Admiral Gial Ackbar!!! That’s the way you do it! Now let’s get down to business, fellow admiral. Medal 1. General Pryde - He was just there to kill and replace Hux. Because Rian Johnson turned Hux into an irredeemable stooge. Medal 2. Jannah - A female Finn. She seemed like a more serious survivalist. So... yeah! See! You can take rogue Stormtroopers kidnapped at birth seriously! *SIDEBAR* If it takes the last movie in the trilogy for you to earn “battle rep”, you’re not getting aboard Ackbar’s battle cruiser! Medal 3. Zorii Bliss - Since Captain Phasma was such a joke let’s get a hardcore female bounty hunter in there! Is she the female Jango or the female Boba? Medal 4. The new droid - (Yeah I forgot his name too). A droid who showed clear signs of animal/pet abuse. And to think they shelved R2 for this and BB8. I did get a strange impulse to donate to PETA after watching him however. Medal 5. Lando - LANDO!!! Yeah! I have to be honest, I did get some nostalgia fuzzies. But he did feel just as shoehorned in for lame fan service at times. Better time spent if it went to development of Knights of Ren and Palps backstory? Mon Cal strategy says YES. But that’s probably why Quarren scum Ruin Johnson killed us off in TLJ. |

Depends on how many toys they sell based upon them.
Richard E Grant however was worth his screen time for that Twitter business alone. Probably the highlight of the entire DT to my mind.
