It's now 2 days before they're announced. Who wants to guess who and what'll get nominated for cinematography, the acting categories, the screenplay categories, Best Director, and Best Picture?

Women Directors have been Recognized and Won at the Oscars before.
Remember, Kathryn Bigelow Won the Best Director Academy Award for "THE HURT LOCKER".

Not nearly good enough. When women are the only directors nominated then we will have diversity.

Best Picture: 1917 Irishman JoJo Rabbit Little Women Marriage Story OUATIH Parasite Rocketman
Best Director: Greta Gerwig Bong Joon-ho Sam Mendes Martin Scorsese Quentin Tarantino
Best Actor: Bale DiCaprio Driver Edgerton Phoenix
Best Actress: Erivo Johansson Ronan Theron Zellweger
Best Supporting Actor: Foxx Hanks Pacino Pitt Pesci
Supporting Actress Dern Lopez Johansson Pugh Robbie
So my bold prediction is that Joker will get shut out of the major categories except for Phoenix.
The fifth spot in Best Actor seems like a clusterfuck, but the Academy has really liked Bale since The Fighter so I went with him. Though Bandaris is a good pick as well. Reminds me of when Bichir snuck into the same category in 2010
Likewise, the fifth spot in Supporting Actor seems up for grabs, but there's not a lot of black representation here, unless Murphy somehow takes that fifth spot, or N'Yongo sneaks in for Us (she did get a SAG nod, but they seem more open to horror - see Blunt last year).
On that note, both Actress categories seem pretty straightforward. I wouldn't expect Bombshell to still get in after weak reception, but Theron and Robbie are getting in everywhere.

Have you seen them or have they received recognition at festivals or other awards ceremonies?

But with documentary feature I've been following the award news and I think these 5 are most likely based on the precursors. For the shorts it's usually safe to stick with GoldDerby's most likely nominees and to only switch around 1 or 2 based on gut feeling. I watched 2 videos of people quickly discussing the shorts and based on how much faith in them and their predictions and GoldDerby I put together this list. But you are correct in saying that I've seen almost none of these shorts, unlike with pretty much any of the other categories I predicted.

I don't really follow "awards season" and had not even heard of any of them, (save Apollo 11) which is usually the case for the docs and shorts. Was just curious how you went about making the predictions.
