I hope this guy Trevor Lawrence (who as I understand will almost certainly go first overall next year) winds up in the NFC. We already have a bunch of young stars in the AFC who'll likely be big things for the next decade plus: Mahomes, Deshaun Watson, Lamar Jackson, Baker Mayfield, very likely Joe Burrow. NFC has... well, Russell Wilson. Who do they have as far as young up and comers? Dak, Wentz, Garoppolo, Goff, none of whom are exactly superstars. The rest are all either getting up there in years or aren't all that good. There is a great chance that Cincy gets Burrow, Miami gets Tua, and the Chargers get Herbert. If that happens, only New England, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Jacksonville, Indianapolis, and Oakland wouldn't have a quarterback who looks to be the franchise one, and every one of them would be four years in the league or fewer. And all of them but Drew Lock would be first rounders. Now, some of those guys will end up being Marcus Mariota, but the AFC will be packed with young QBs. The Patriots are getting Lawrence, aren’t they?
