The John Travolta of today. And no, it's not because he's a Scientology nut, but rather the cosmetic surgery he has had over the years. I wanted to gag every time he appeared on American Crime Story (2016). The guy's face can barely move. I can't tell if he's being serious or comedic. He was so great in Grease (1978) and Pulp Fiction (1994). When 2000 rolled around, he refused to age. Now, he looks like plastic. Yeah he was distracting in forger, i was wondering what was going with him.

Emma Watson- maybe I'm being very unfair here because I hatted her version of Belle but I'm ok seeing her in other stuff, i don't cringe at watching in another movie but I just hatted the idea of her as Belle since the second she was cast. Nicholas Cage his voice is dull Tom Hanks Dull voice and always plays saintly characters He does not always play saintly characters. Cloud Atlas, Road to Perdition and many of his pre-Philadelphia movies. He may play good guys a lot but I certainly wouldn't call him saintly in all of them. I fully agree about Emma Watson though. Terrible actress.

I understand being put off by his face but I still quite like his performances. The movies he's in aren't so good though. You still think he's a good actor right? Of course. I do respect him and the work he has done over the years as an actor. It was around the time he made Battlefield Earth (2000) that my opinion of him had changed. He hasn't really been in anything worthwhile other than the T.V. show I mentioned above.

Be Cool The Taking of Pelham 1,2,3 Savages Ladder 49 The Punisher A Love Song for Bobby Long Swordfish Lucky Numbers None of them are anything to write home about but I still think they are solid films.

I like Johnny Depp, but I wish he would step back for a little while before doing just about every other picture that comes out nowadays. He is, however, a surprisingly good actor when he wants to be. (Same applies to Will Smith, in my opinion.) I agree with them1ghtyhumph about Jack Black, whom I find more or less unbearable as an actor, though I must give Mr. Black credit for his creation of Ghost Ghirls, a hilarious "internet series" that I only recently found but that deserved more than one season. A very funny little show. It may be an obvious choice (people pick on him all the time nowadays, sometimes unfairly), but I can't stand Adam Sandler. Mr. Sandler can act, but he just doesn't want to, it seems to me. It is as if he actually wants to make bad, unfunny, forgettable, crude movies. I have no answer for this mystery; it ultimately rests between him and his psychoanalyst, I'm guessing. Any other actors I really dislike? Yes, very much so. (Lord! How's that for positivity?) Tom Cruise is in much the same boat as Johnny Depp for me. I dislike Russell Brand quite a bit, Tobey Maguire grates on me (both in Spider-Man and in the atrocious Pleasantville), and I find Keanu Reeves one of the most overrated actors known to man. (I honestly do not believe Mr. Reeves knows how to act.) I'll cease here, but there's a preliminary list! and I find Keanu Reeves one of the most overrated actors known to man. (I honestly do not believe Mr. Reeves knows how to act.)
Say what now? Most people think that Keanu Reeves is a below average actor talent wise, even the people who like him. I mean, I do think he has been decent in some of his roles but mostly I like him because he has a unique and natural likeability, charm and coolness to him. Heck, his performance in John Wick is pretty bad imo but I still enjoyed watching him do his thing.

Elsie Ames, a very annoying actress of the 1930s/1940s, mainly appearing in comedy shorts. Was hyped by Columbia Pictures, co-starred with greats like Harry Langdon and Buster Keaton. But geez, she was extremely annoying. Largely ruined the films she was in.

I dont hate Emma Watson, but she is very bland and stiff and overall boring. Same can be said of Chris Pine.
I like some of Christian Bales work, but a lot of it I feel is overrated and I can see him acting. He also has this strange way of speaking at times. Same can be said of Michael Fassbender. Fassbender also has this look in his eyes that is ALWAYS there, no matter what emotion he is portraying, and always has this weird smirk. Elizabeth Banks also...
I do dislike ...
Jack Black Gary Oldman (sorry not sorry. I think he is so overrated it hurts and he has this oddly annoying screen presence) Brie Larson Grace Kelly (in literally every film she is in BUT Rear Window, where I found her endearing)

Mark Ruffalo. - he's a hack. Just don't like his work.
Jamie Foxx- also a Hack. ( Ray aside ) Though he's a funny comedian. He has some of the worst timing I've ever heard from any actor. He also just comes off as an arrogant dick head.
Andie McDowell - she just bothers me. Idk why.
Tracy Morgan- I wish he would have died in that car crash.

I thought people did think Reeves a good actor, at least for The Matrix, but if Hollywood just keeps casting him because people like him for some other unknown reason... I'd still call that "overrating," if people like him. I see no reason to do so. I have always wanted to direct a big-budget of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None and hire Mr. Reeves as the first "little Indian" to go! I mostly dislike him for two of the most atrocious performances I've ever seen in movies I otherwise liked, his Jonathan Harker in Coppola's Bram Stoker's Dracula and his Don John in Branagh's Much Ado about Nothing.

not many. i'm mad at Emilia Clarke about Terminator: Genesys. for no rational reason Michael Cera and Drew Barrymore have always kind of rubbed me the wrong way. but mostly i get a nonreaction rather than a negative one when someone's acting doesn't hit for me. Salzmank did you see Devil's Advocate? though usually i'd say Reeves is passable at best and just picks his roles well, i thought he was actually pretty good in that.

You're right, barkingbaphomet. Indeed, Devil's Advocate is the main counterargument, I think, to my case that Reeves does not know how to act. Even there, though, I wouldn't say that it's any kind of a great or even good performance, merely a passable one. So, then, perhaps Reeves does know how act, but often cannot muster up the ability for the role? I don't know. How does one explain Dracula and Much Ado? I'm still trying to imagine what Coppola and Branagh, two excellent directors, were thinking.

I don't think we are on the same page. I agree he is awful and terribly cast in Dracula and Much Ado About Nothing but I will go out of my way to watch movies he is in. Of course I don't want him cast in certain types of movies but I really like him in The Matrix, Speed, Bill and Ted, The Replacements, Point Break etc. I just connect to him for some reason and find him a comforting presence.

The reason he gets work and is cast by good directors (Coppola, Branagh, Van Sant etc.) is becasue he is a very nice guy in real life and easy to work with I have heard.

Shia Labeouf - I don't feel like this needs to be explained
James Franco and Seth Rogen - I never want to see another movie with them together in it again. It's all the same crap that stopped being funny after Pineapple Express which is sadly a movie that doesn't hold up for me anymore because of this
Ben Affleck - It's not that I hate him but I don't like him. I just can never see the character he plays in a movie. He's just simply Ben Affleck in everything for me.
Jennifer Garner - It's just her face. She has resting bitch face and honestly I bet she really is just a huge bitch.
Joel Kinnaman - He's just sooooooo bad. Even when people try and defend him with The Killing I can't stop laughing. While that show was decent the acting by it's two leads were horrible. He didn't help himself any with Suicide Squad.
Cara Delevingne - Speaking of Suicide Squad...yeah she's just not an actress and honestly for me she's not even hot enough to excuse casting her.
Emilia Clarke - Sorry not sorry but unless she's getting naked I don't care. It's not that I find her all that attractive but I have to admit she has a damn near perfect body. I however don't care to stare at her face or hear her speak words.
Sophie Turner - Staying with Game of Thrones here. She's just honestly one of the worst actresses I've seen in quite some time. She's not as bad as Cara but she's so horrible. She's so wooden and robotic in her performances that she could of been great in Westworld. She could play a very believable robot. A human being however? Not so much.
Jim Carey - Never want to see him in a movie again ever.
Adam Sandler - Same as Jim Carey
Eddie Murphy - I just never found him to be very funny. I know A LOT of people love him or at least did love him I was just never a fan.
Tracy Morgan - I just hate his voice so much and how he talks. I hear he's a great guy and everything but I can't stand watching him.
Jennifer Lawrence - It's not that she's bad. She can be good however I think people (mainly the Academy) have over rated her a bit. Her charm and personality while charming and funny at first has really gotten old to me. I no longer find her to be funny or charming, just now annoying.
Eddie Redmayne - I hate his face and how he constantly whispers everything in his movies.
Ariana Grande - While she's mostly a singer these days she's been in stuff on TV. Idk if she's done any movies but I HATE her voice. Whether it's her normal speaking voice or her singing voice I can't stand it.
Taylor Swift - She's been in a movie or two and I won't pass up a chance to shit on her. I hate everything about Taylor Swift.
