Should have been the Astros that did this, just to make Hinch feel even worse than he does now. lol...

I wonder how she’ll be “assisting” Kapler?

Kap needed somebody in dugout less masculine than him.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Hey I'm a Kappy Guy - but you fans in San Fran will see what I'm talking about.
Kap and San Fran is going to be like a match made in heaven.

Didn’t the Padres have a female coach a few years back, or maybe she was a trainer?

I’m unimpressed.
They still lack a transgender POC as coach.

I'm sure the players like her since she's been with the team for 6 years but who is going to listen to her "advice?"
She played college womens softball. These guys are all major leaguers. Although there will be a couple guys who will do what she says without quesiton, I would imagine most of them would take her advice and even demands with a grain of salt. I could be totally wrong, but this is what I think...

Yeah, I think it's a very awkward position to put the players in but who knows, maybe it will work?
Although, softball is a totally different sport. I have no idea why they hired her. Unless it was just for "political correctness" reasons.

100% for political correctness. There are tons of way more qualified coaches out there.
