Sounds like all good news for Watford. Would you have called that handball in the Watford box early on?

Sounds like all good news for Watford. Would you have called that handball in the Watford box early on? Rules are rules, Doc, but they don't keep to them. It hit his arm, and if they can disallow a goal like the Wolves one in the FA Cup midweek for accidental hands, this should have been a penalty surely. But to be honest, I don't know the full rulings.

It's all Spurs on '18. Watford soaking it up, though. Deeney will start putting it about in a while - it's a bit early in the game for him yet.

Watford are beginning to work their way into things now, with several assaults - all Spurs can do is keep half-hoofing it out but it invariably falls to a home player again. A promising spell.

Watford's Capoue is VAR-ed for a studs-showing challenge on Tabanga but is not charged. The co-commentator pipes up with "Tabanga is alright. He'll see a lot more challenges like that. This is a man's game." Some good old-fashioned bollox-to-Political Correctness there but not sure he's entirely correct.

Son might have scored a scorcher on '40 with a volley from outside the box but it went over the bar and the ref blows up on an otherwise (s)crappy half.

I think I may have posted my prediction for this match (home win) after it had started - a minute or two after. Just letting staggerstag know. Would certainly have no quibbles if my prediction was disallowed.

That Sarr guy for Watford had an interesting first half.

One of the worst close-range headers you will see from Alli there on '54. It was all there for him. He had time but his head still didn't connect properly. Now he's developed a nose bleed from jumping away from the ground rather than falling towards it.

There's a ruck going on now. It started with a tackle and a few players then got involved. Vertognen went down like a sack of potatoes after the slightest of shoves. Winks and Decoure are booked at the end of it. Best action we've seen all game.

That Sarr guy for Watford had an interesting first half. Tabanga v Sarr and Sarr is having the better of him so far - just missing the important ball in. It's a penalty to Watford.

Oh, look at that. Vertongnan's handball presents the home side with a golden opportunity. It's a short run-up from Troy Deeney and he fires it slightly to the keeper's right and it's an easy parry. It's a chance spurned.

There's nothing like a penalty kick executed with finesse. And that was nothing like a penalty kick taken with finesse. Lots of power, not much else.

Watford look most likely to score here but there's only ten minutes left.
