He's been around a long time now, toiling on the indie scene like a renegade trooper. Post-'Johnny Suede', rumours began to swirl (as circulated by talboid media) that Le Gros had got himself blacklisted for sending up Brad Pitt's alleged on-set antics and preening persona with his performance in 'Living In Oblivion', but it didn't matter because Pitt and Samuel Jackson were already well on course to become megasuperstars of the new millenium. I was a huge fan though; always felt growing up that Jim Le Gros and Casey Siemaszko should have been major movie stars on the basis of talent and charisma alone.
What are some of your favourite performances and films of James Le Gros?
Thanks!

Wasn't he in Point Break (1991)? Oh yeh. The picture I selected screams Minnesota sawmill like Kelly Lynch on hiatus, but that's just to illustrate the long hard winters. He was surfing in the sun back then, superpumped and ready for hardball action (that's what we called "superheavy" action back in the '80s).

He also played the car salesman in Psycho (1998).
He'd previously worked with 'Psycho' director Gus Van Sant on 'Drugstore Cowboy'.
