Fans or just one person. Does it take more than one person to create a petition? Yeah, it would have people sign it, but one to create it.
And like others have said: The movie made bank, why would they replace her for a few butt hurt guys?

Why don't we start a petition to replace these fans?

I don't think Brie Larson has the natural charisma and presence needed to bring Carol Danvers to life. But she wasn't the problem with her film. For what she was handed she did a fantastic job. The problem was a weak script. They dropped the ball on this character. She should've been included in the story ages ago, and when they finally got around to it, they made her story a prequel where she doesn't get to interact with other heroes; and the movie is released in the middle of the biggest crossover event in cinema history. On top of all that, they gave her amnesia! Want to know how to alienate the audience and not let them care about the central character? Give the character amnesia, and thus no personality. The deck was stacked against Larson before she even signed on. Her portrayal of the character wasn't wooden; the damn character was written to be wooden. A lesser actress turns that movie into a shitshow whereas Brie Larson elevated the material into something at least enjoyable. Personally I don't view it as a top tier MCU flick but it's still fun. I don't think it's the same quality with a tv actress or some of the names I saw thrown out there to play CM. All the whining people did was irrelevant. The vocal minority complaining about her comments regarding diversity in film critique were drowned out by cash registers as the movie made a billion dollars. The other complaints about her being overpowered were odd, considering nobody ever complained about Thor, Hulk or any other hero being overpowered, and they all showed similar if not more impressive feats in previous films. As a fan of the character, I don't think Larson was the best choice to embody Carol Danvers, but I think she was solid with what she was given and I'm looking forward to seeing her in the next chapter. She had the same personality from before her amnesia. The Kree were trying to break her out of it. She didn't have the same personality. She was confused and unsure of herself. Yon-Rogg was trying to keep it that way. It's the subtext of the film; the man is constantly telling the woman to control her emotions, know her place, etc.

I've been saying for a while now that Brie has some good acting chops but lacks charisma. Similar to Natalie Portman or Robert Pattinson or Alicia Vikander. And while I do agree that the Captain Marvel movie had a lot of issues other than Brie, I disagree that she did a fantastic job with what she was given. I don't think she was horrible in her role but surely a more charismatic actress would have made her character more lively and likeable. More lively perhaps but with the real potential to dip into camp if they didn't understand what Marvel was going for. The last thing we need is to go the Green Lantern route with this material.

Being more lively doesn't equate to being over the top. There are different degrees to acting and charisma, just because someone can give a more riveting performance than Brie doesn't automatically mean they need to be campy.

That has nothing to do with her personality. The whole time she was a hothead, fun loving woman with a mild sense of humor (a little more than Steve), but knows when it's time to get serious. Her being confused and unsure of herself was a product of the forced amnesia because she couldn't access part of her mind. But her core personality was always there.

Not remembering who you are doesn't affect your personality at all? You aren't the product of your experiences? She wasn't the same person. She didn't become her old self until she confronted the Supreme Intelligence and broke out of their control. Aspects of her basic personality still existed, but she was holding back. The real Carol didn't show up until she remembered everything she went through to get where she was.

The real Carol didn't show up until she remembered everything she went through to get where she was. And yet she was the same person before and after remembering who she use to be. The thing is, they didn't start her over from scratch. They kept who she was, but shifted her life from Earth to Hala. And she became her "old self" only in knowing that she was Carol Danvers instead of Vers at the Rambeau home (the breakdown she had). All that happened when she confronted the Supreme Intelligence was breaking that power dampening chip.
