Mary Elizabeth Winstead is Lucy Mcclane. They could just give her a movie and piss less people off but they only pull these gender swaps to piss off fans.

I can't see this one happening but not going to lie I would kind of want it to because I love when people get mad at this type of thing it's kind of a guilty pleasure.

If they actually Remade "DIE HARD" then these below are who I myself would Cast to Play who I myself consider to be the Main 4 Characters (McClane, Hans, Karl, Powell) in it.
McCLANE - Chris Pratt
McCLANE (If they changed him from Man to Woman) - Michelle Rodriguez
HANS - Christoph Waltz
HANS (If they changed him from Man to Woman) - Cate Blanchett
KARL - Adam Driver
KARL (If they changed him from Man to Woman) - Sylvia Hoeks
POWELL (I would not be in favor of him being changed to a Woman so I will just give 1 answer for him) - Jamie Foxx

From what I can recall, she wasn't portrayed as a future action heroine, unlike her brother, so it wouldn't make sense for her to follow her dad's footsteps.

they made John McClane a female ? Possibly keeping Holly female too ? Not upset. Annoyed that Hollywood is so bankrupt creatively that they can't even come up with a story idea with a female lesbian in the lead without stealing the idea from Die Hard.

Honestly when it comes to down to it....
I think that "DIE HARD" is just 1 of those Movies that is so Great that it should never be Remade at all.
