I love Keaton and am very glad he got the role.
That said, Harrison Ford would have been another good pick.

That crossed my mind, but he can turn it off sometimes. I was thinking of that scene in Blade Runner where he's pretending to be an HR guy to infiltrate the snake lady, and thought "there's your Bruce Wayne scenes".

You know he did Working Girl (1988) just before Batman (1989) came out in which Ford showed his lighter side. I'm a little surprised that with the success of Working Girl, along with whatever hit films he had at that time, that it didn't put him in the lead running for an offer to do Batman.

I actually think that Harrison Ford would be a Good Choice to play 'Rupert Thorne' in a "BATMAN" Movie.
Either him or Al Pacino.

Nah, honestly I think playing a superhero is the one type of role that Harrison Ford would be unsuitable for. Maybe Green Lantern but that’s a stretch.

He already became famous for playing a superhero of sorts. That would be Indy.

In '89 it might have been really hard for audiences to detach seeing Indy and Han Solo playing Batman.

Heh.
Every time I write for Batman (which ain’t that often, but I’ve posted some stuff here, including one Batman-meets-Cthulhu tale that’s never going to get finished at this rate), I mentally cast Harrison Ford in the role. In particular, I base the Batman/Robin rapport on Indy/Short Round.
But that’s mostly performance, not appearance, and I’m not sure Ford would make a good Bats for the movies.

Harrison playing a Jamaican reggae singer is something he would be blatantly unsuitable for, but him playing another broody hero in the form of Batman is not something that would be a problem to him, bit shocked at your post to be honest.

What every cinema usher should be saying to you at a showing of a Harrison film if you think he can't play Batman then watching more of his films (or any) for that matter would really help you.

What about 'Rupert Thorne' ?
Do you think Harrison Ford would be a good choice to play him in a "BATMAN" Movie ?

Egh I kind of always wanted someone like Robert De Niro in that role. Honestly, ten years ago he’d have been a solid choice for a different DC villain named General Eiling.

I myself think that either he or Ford would be an Excellent Choice to play him.
