Now that the season is over, what did you think of it? What did you think of the season finale? What episodes did you like/dislike? Do you think the show should continue or stop after 10 years? I loved every episode except the finale, which went downhill fast after the cold open. Curb’s finales tends to be hit or miss though.

It was still a great episode, just never met the high the opening had. Also, the whole situation with Larry and the interracial parents-to-be felt like a rehash. I don’t think they’ve ever done anything like that on Curb before (and if they have I honestly can’t remember what the details were). But it feels like they have done it before? I don’t know if that makes sense. What did you think about it?

You know it's weird with comedy... you got to be in the right mood. Curb is one of my all-time favorite shows. I tried to watch the first episode and couldn't get into and was disappointed. I finally just got back to it and I'm laughing my ass off.

For a show like this, you have to suspend disbelief to an extent. There have been plenty of episodes that are contrived and/or have convenient things happen for story/plot. loving it. willing to overlook the plane nonsense.

I'm on E4. What's with Larry constantly whining about the size of his hotel room? Even though the main characters have different economical situations than the ones in SEINFELD, there's usually still a lot of focus on everyday problems. Seeing the complaints of a rich man who flew to another country on a private plane in order to stay at a resort isn't relatable, and therefore less entertaining. The show began with Larry married to a much younger woman. Was it realistic? Let's see. Is he a silver fox? No, he's not very good-looking. I don't mean that as an insult. He actually makes fun of his looks all the time. Does he have a charming personality that can make a woman not care about the exterior? No, which is mainly the reason why the marriage didn't last. OK, but why did she want to marry him in the first place? Every love interest Larry has had since has also been a much younger woman. Actually, we've seen his friends date only much younger women too. That's crossing the line. It's not just about supporting the idea that age is just a number; it's that stupid Hollywood rule about helping men look younger while actresses of the same age can't get a job. The reason why I'm saying this now is because this episode has taken this to another level. Larry behaves disgustingly around Donna and he fat-shames her! Even in their first date! Why is she going out with him?! Why is she even in the same room as him?! Larry David is very famous in Hollywood America. And rich. And knows a lot of movies stars. These things are a powerful turn on for many women. thats how i explain to myself that these younger and hotter looking women are interested in him - albeit briefly. yes he was horrible to Donna. She probably has a low self esteem and didnt realize it/didnt mind as much as she should have because of it. a lot of his friends are more or less famous also. in hollywood that means something. and dating younger women when one CAN (is either hot, rich, famous or powerful) is a standard / well documented and tolerated norm all over the world. we may not like it, but it is the way it is. i actually blame women for the result. had they not been simpletons/gold diggers so often, they wouldnt go out with the old guys. but i can also blame their fathers, for not treatig them right to begin with. or their mothers for not brining them up right. who knows. but its not unusual at all.

I'm very slowly making my way through the season. Pretty funny. Love the show. The MAGA hat thing is hilarious. I'm surprised how much Larry, an unabashed liberal, is making fun of liberals at times. The #MeToo thing is hilarious.

Well, Larry is a celebrity in real life. In the show's universe, he's only famous to those who pay attention to behind-the-camera people. Anyway, I know this happens in real life, but that doesn't mean the show has to constantly do it. At least not without proper acknowledgement. I'm not saying these characters are obliged to only date people their own age. I'm saying that by focusing always on only 1 age group, actresses of other groups lose a job opportunity.

The #MeToo thing is hilarious. agreed. i am also surprised and think its So Needed that someone has the balls to do that. Especially being a liberal and a well known person. Larry rocks.

I think he is almost as famous on the show as he is in real life. you constantly see people recognizing him or wanting his approval. but i get your point. yes it would be refreshing to see something else i agree.
