I liked it but I consider it overrated.

They renamed the movie Last Action Hero about eight years later, but people didn't like it.

One of Woody's best and one his best from the 80's. The first Woody Allen film I saw in a cinema and completely. I went twice to see it. Lovely performance from Farrow and Danny Aiello, who is always an assest, and both were a treat to watch. Visually strong, even if bleak in its setting, but full of pathos, heart and sadness. This was more "real" Allen and he knew what he was doing here.
I rate Radio Days - 87', which I came to, way too late, a 9\10, which I feel is a good companion piece and also a bright shining antidote to some of Purple Rose's oppression.

Maybe Woody's most charming film, a personal favorite of mine. And I agree that it makes a great companion combo with Radio Days.
