I have spent most of my life feeding my family and stopping the wife from divorcing me. But now the kids are off my hands, the mortgage is paid up and Herself has decided to put up with me as being the best of a bad field.
So what to do next?
Years ago I got a degree in maths and am amazed at how much I have forgotten. To be honest, it was a crap degree from a worse Poly and although I had a great time there, I am currently struggling with my 16 year old grandson's homework.
So that is it. I am going to spend my declining years brushing up on my maths.
How about you guys?

I might finally get around to finishing off the comic I stopped working on when I hit 60.

My plan for 60 and above is to have no career anymore. BUT it is entirely possible I will change before or when I get there.
Learning a new language is always interesting. Japanese, Hebrew, Arabic, German or ASL.
I would also like to be better at understanding physics ans chemistry. So maybe, like you, I will spend my winter years studying science.
Good luck revisiting with math. Sounds like a good plan.

I JUST retired less than two weeks ago, and I have a lot of plans concerning writing more books, performing music and a whole raft of other creative endeavors.
Of course that doesn't include the occasional round of vegging out...to which, after so many years at a job that I didn't actually hate, but where I never really felt appreciated for my high quality of service, I feel entitled.
LET THE CREATIVE ENDEAVORS (interspersed with the occasional round of vegging out) COMMENCE!!!

Welcome to the nightmare of life. But it's not even a nightmare you just look at it the wrong way. So shame on you.

Yes, I’m a grumpy old man. As long as you're here, Stammerhead, posting among friends, you will never be old. (Besides, age-wise, I've got you beat...by a few years, anyway. )
